Petrochemical and Public Utility Companies
We have worked for petrochemical contractors and the Public Utility
market since 1990 and have a wide experience in this field. Please feel
free to call if the type of service you require is not detailed below:

Acoustic Advice on Plant Expansion & Construction Pre-Tender Bids and Detailed Design Phase
Where
a development is likely to have it’s own impact on a local community
e.g. a new turbine plant or incinerator, we are able to provide
predictions of the demolition phase, construction phase and the final
operational phase of the scheme to the relevant authorities.

Site Noise Modelled Using BS5228, EEMUA and CONCAWE Criteria
We
are able to model the likely sound pressure level emissions of new and
existing plant affecting nearby sensitive receivers. The acoustic
impact can be compared to Local Authority requirements and sound
insulation and noise control measures can be designed if required.

Advice on Plant & Equipment Noise Control
The
insulation of plant & machinery can be an important part of
achieving sound pressure level limits, either at the boundary to site
or at nearby local sensitive receivers.

Vetting of Potential Vendors of Equipment and Test Witnessing
We
are able to provide an independent witness service for the vetting and
site testing of plant and machinery which are to be installed on site.
In addition we can provide the staff to carry out on site tests and
offer impartial advice on the performance of noise control and acoustic
enclosures.

Plant Sound Power Level Predictions
We are able to assess the likely sound power of plant and machinery on site using the latest test equipment.

Specification of Plant Sound Power Levels
Where
specific environmental criteria are required we can specify the sound
power budget allocated to the new plant to be installed.

Commissioning Noise Surveys to Assess Conformance with Specified Noise Levels
We
can provide the staff to carry out on site tests and offer impartial
advice on the performance of noise control and acoustic enclosures.

Environmental Impact Studies
We are able to carry out detailed monitoring projects to assess the environmental impact of plant and machinery on site.

Noise at Work Regulation Surveys & Reports
We can assess the noise at work levels and advise on hearing protection zones and noise mitigation.

Advice on Planning Conditions with Regard to Noise
Planning
conditions are frequently imposed to deal with the potential impact of
noise & vibration from site. We are able to assist in the
assessment of such conditions and advise on the correct coarse of
action whether it be noise mitigation, bunds, barriers or enclosures.
