Noise Nuisance Investigations to BS4142
We make regular use of this standard and have represented numerous clients affected by noise. We have also worked with noise emitters and provided noise mitigation and noise control solutions to satisfy Local Authority noise criteria.

Vibration Nuisance Investigations to BS6472
We carry instrumentation which measures true VDV levels and also have access to software which will calculate the true VDV from waveform events (such as individual Trains) and allows a in depth study of the vibration of a source and the frequency content together with the individual vibration dosage value. We follow the Association of Noise Consultants guidelines in the measurement and assessment of vibration.

Sound Insulation Tests to BS2750 (ISO140) and BS5821 (ISO717)for Floors, Ceilings and Walls
Sound insulation testing is a mainstay of our business and a logical place to start where noise nuisance in domestic situations is an issue. We carry all the necessary test equipment and are currently involved in the House Builders Federation Robust Standard Detail process for the improvement of sound insulation in residential dwellings.

Sound Insulation Reports & Certification with Mitigation Recommendations
Where sound insulation is an issue we can provide the testing, certification and report to specify the noise mitigation treatment required to achieve either the Building Regulation Guideline levels or the specific clients requirements (many clients now require an enhanced specification in excess of Building Regulation Guideline values)

Licensing Applications for Live & Reproduced Sound for Pubs, Clubs and Music Venues
We frequently assist clients in the pursuit of entertainment license applications and have in depth knowledge of the survey, specification and condition process by which entertainment noise & reproduced sound is assessed. We also keep upto date with the proposed revision to the noise guidelines for pubs and clubs which are due to be released in the near future.

Advice on Planning Conditions with Regard to Noise (PPG24)
We can offer assistance to Local Authorities who do not have the experience or expertise required to condition developments with regard to noise or vibration. We can also offer an independent assessment service with regard to noise & vibration in the case of disputes.

Transportation Noise & Vibration Surveys and Assessments
We can carry out sort or long term transportation noise assessments for noise & vibration. We base out assessments on current knowledge such as the CRTN (Calculation of Road Traffic Noise) and CRN (Calculation of Railway Noise) Documents.

Environmental noise and noise impact from large scale projects can be formally dealt with through the application for a section 61 agreement. We have detailed experience of this application process and have assisted in giving technical backup to both the applicant and Local Authority.
